Thanks to this article, I realized what the problems are when we as students make translations. I also believe that the problems while translating arise from these two mistakes. One of them is the lack of grammar knowledge of foreign language and the other one is that not being fluency in the native language and not using correct native language. Since I have difficulty in using my native language, I cannot make translation correctly. Therefore, at first, students should take courses about their native language and so they can translate easily and correctly. Moreover, since we have been mingling with English for years, we can lose our control on our native language. Besides, when I try to make translation from English to Turkish, I cannot find the correct equivalences of those words. However, it's easy for me to make translations from Turkish to English. These are because of that I cannot use my native language fluently and accurately. As the article says, the students should know the translation methods and use their native language appropriately.

This article makes me understand who a translator really is. Moreover, before I read this article, I didn't know which problems a translator has. Also, realizing their problems and necessities, I pay attention their names on the book. In our society, they are not valuable as much as writers but they should. A translator should know everything about a language to be a good translator. Besides that, s/he has many problems in his/her job.Although they are doing really important things, they earn little money. As readers, we should take care of translators. When we buy a book, we should look at the name of the translator. Unless we know any translator, we can know them by reading their works. Therefore, when we want to buy a book, we can choose the translator's work we liked. Hereby, s/he can gain importance and be known by everyone.
